I think I did a good job of providing a lot of information in a simple and correct way, something I am very happy about.
Religion
The religion that the people of ancient Greece invested in is surely one of the most studied and well known of all time. Famous for their values in the Gods and Goddesses and interests in divination, the Greek’s had a very strong impact on the beliefs of the world. There were 12 major gods and goddesses in the Greek religion. Gods are almost exactly like mortals, only perfected. Each has its own specific talent and duty, for example the god Zeus was known for his power with storms while his brother, Poseidon dealt with the ocean, rivers, droughts, earthquakes and floods. These 12 gods and goddesses lived on the highest mountain in Greece, Mount Olympus where they answered prayers and favors and controlled the world beneath them. Each month in the Greek year was dedicated to one of the 12 gods or goddesses, for each one the people would have special events, offer gifts and give overall importance to the god or goddess being celebrated. Gods and Goddesses were praised at a temple dedicated to each of them. People would reach out to them in hope for guidance about personal reasons as well as united issues. The gods and goddesses were immortal but were thought to sometimes find love with mortals and have offspring. When this occurs, the children are part god and part mortal, this is called being a demigod. Demigod inherited the power from their godly parent. Technically this is not allowed within the godly figures so the child and god or goddess are forced to stay apart and out of each other's lives. While immediate relationships were not allowed between the demigod and god they were believed to have a mind connection to interact with, much like with normal mortals and gods only more personal. The people of ancient Greece were very interested in the art of divination, and often relied on a delphie to share information about the future with them. They were also very invested in karma, living by the idea that what you did, affected the positivity and negativity in your life. Overall the main religion focuses of the ancient Greek’s was to please the ever so important gods and goddesses and to do good to receive good.
