Blue Moments-
The reason this is one of what I consider my best pieces it that despite how hard it was, I worked through it. I really put a lot of effort and work into making it feel as emotional and realistic as possible. My entire goal for this was for the reader to feel as though they are the character, experiencing all the intensity of the situation. For them to really feel the pain, fear, sadness and desperation. To truly feel the wind, the fall, the crash, the water and the rocks. For them to experience the loss of air and the crave for getting it back. As hard as doing that was, I think that I succeeded to a decent degree, making it one of my best pieces.
Enemy Fire-
What makes me love this one so much is the characters. In "Blue Moments" I focused mainly on the situation, bringing the details to life. But in "Enemy Fire" I got to really put as much into the characters as I could. I think that the reader will really feel as if they know the characters and are accustomed to their unique and intense personalities. I also loved getting to have them learn and grow, something that I think is special within a piece so short.
